So you think that a "maximum wage" would give gov't almost complete control over how a private business is run?
If anything, they would have to try even harder to earn more, to raise everyone's productivity! And I gotta say, the owner of the company I work at simply skims the entire profit off the top and keeps it for himself. He pulls in a quarter-million bucks annually. If he was only allowed to keep 1.5-times the average, and had to redistribute the rest amongst the staff we would all be earning $2000 per year extra. I could use $2000 extra, couldn't you?
And it would put an end to those annoying news reports about politicans voting themselves a 15 percent raise. I'm sick of hearing about that.
