You and I are the resident Adams geeks here. I was kinda hoping to catch someone unaware of a proven Patriot applying what he later helped encode into the Constitution...

Haven't seen Clark's statements; don't much care. As you so rightly state, it's the principle of the thing.

[btw, I've read Passionate Sage and Founding Brothers (among others by Ellis), McCullough's Adams bio, and the two-volume work by Paige Smith.]
