That $100 calculator

Robert — 1/14/2006 2:23:13 AM (archived)

That $100 calculator, was that about the size of a library book? Plugged into the wall to power a big flourescent display? Blue or a shade of khaki nicknamed at the factory "baby shit"? Nameplate that said "Eldorado Electrodata"? If so, in 1972/73 there's a good chance I tested it when it came off the production line. I wasn't in Taiwan, that was the good ole US of A...times have changed. Actually it's just me--I'm such an old fart that this entire thread's been a trip down memory lane.
