It's a piece of news in the same way that an injury car accident involving the VP as a driver would have been a piece of news. No more, no less.

The bizarre intrepretations, the hostile conspiracy theories, and the outright lunacy are all coming from the press. If the Democrats lose the House and Senate again in 2006, I fear for some people's sanity.
