Well, when I first called for it to be moved there were no other branches than the expletive one, so that argument fails unless you opt for the defence of not being able to spend all day online looking for brand-new threads. (And this is a good argument - you shouldn't be a doorman here, just run a regular inspection). As you say, how you handle this thread is a precedent for similar things in the future. I happen to think you set a bad precedent.

I would have moved it to ether CE or Flame. The language is acceptable by established convention in either of those places.

As for the expletives, I've seen scientists roasted, but never using such language - the bayonet is twisted far more effectively with non-emotive words carefully constructed into a device of torture. (especially if it takes the victim some time to realise he's been deeply and mortally insulted)
