Look, my point was not that there is no carbon dioxide being spewed into the atmosphere by modern society. My point was that there are people using this subject as a political tool and exploiting and distorting honest scientific work in the process. Some, not many, are the scientists themselves. Most are political hacks who would be exploiting some other environmental issue if this one wasn't there.
The danger is governments panicking under the influence of this and doing something stupid and counterproductive.
