Tar Baby redux
It's about time to accurately identify the nature of our difficulty in Iraq. It's a tar baby.
Although President Bush and his Eminence Gris, Karl Rove, have finally admitted "soto voce" that the reasons advanced for the initial invasion of Iraq were totally erroneous, they have never-the-less found valid and defensible reasons for the action. Although these reasons change with the seasons the dynamic duo continue to urge us to "stay the course." What this really translates to is we have a tar baby here and we don't know how we can let go----so, "stay the course."
