I'm looking at the same data and I just don't see it. I see political posturing on both sides, and I see the desire to do the right thing on both sides. My own politics and prejudices favor one course of action over the other, of course, but I can't detect the same conspiratorial evil you see in the Liberals, not even on the Conservative side where I might be more expected to do so. I think they're wrong, and I think they're partisan, and I think they're doing everything they can to cover up their mistakes, but I just don't see them as monsters.

What I do see is much more uniformity. The Democrats can't seem to come up with a coherent policy because they disagree amongst themselves, for both good and bad reasons. The Republicans are much more consistent and locked in step, I would feel much more comfortable if they were arguing amongst themselves. At least I would believe they were trying to think it through and not just staying the course.
