Just in time for Republican milking for the fall elections, to be followed by a massive troop withdrawl scheduled in 2007 to work in for the 2008 election.

Gen'l (a little bit of side step) Clarkey emphasised last Thursday that announcing a planned withdrawl was a bad idea and played into the hands of the militia. Today he side stepped and announced a September draw down, to be followed by a 21,000 man removal in late 2007.

Of course the timing of this announcement had nothing to do with the defeat of the Democratic party proposal to with draw troops on a timetable and have "mission accomplished" put on a date certain---noooooo. This withdrawl has caveats concerning "conditions on the ground."
