Actually...

I almost never go to the real hard-left sites. The people there are stark, raving nuts. Attempts at discussion are met with obscenities, personal attacks, and numerous false posts under your name. That's before they pull your posts off the board.

I do poke in on Washingtonmonthly.com now and then, run by a fairly reasonable and intelligent leftist, but I stopped commenting on their boards when I got the same treatment from commenters as I would get on the looney boards. When I have something to comment on, I write Kevin a letter, and his responses are usually well-thought-out and polite, even if he rarely agrees with me.

This is the only place I post a lot of comments.
