First of all, you cannot wage war on terror. Terror is a tactic and the only effective way to fight against a tactic is to ensure that it doesn't work well and take away the incentive for the perpetrators.

Terror's goal is to force people to act based on fear. Sure seems to me that tactic has been reinforced in the last decade. This country is more afraid now than it has been in my lifetime and the current administration does all it can to promote that emotion.

Scott, none of your opponents on here have ever spoken out to not going after terrorists wishing to do us harm. They've only asked that there be some intelligent thought that went along with the actions. Experts in the field of anti-terrorism all point to stopping or slowing down terrorism through covert intelligence (not just sitting back and tapping phones but boots on the ground infiltration of organizations) and basic police work.

Military action works best when you're going against an organized militia, one that easily recognizable. Our actions have probably shut down the trust required by locals necessary to get valuable intelligence in the countries we consider terrorist breeding grounds.

Your premise is so flawed that it's laughable. Of the people on the opposite side of your views of outright naked aggression as a tactic, there's probably only a tiny percent that are in that total capitulation category.

Also, since this is flame Scott, you're the biggest pussy around since, with all your bluster, you haven't signed up to head to Iraq and face the IED's. Wimp.
