And a big part of the reason is the awe-inspiring cluelesslness you demonstrate so well. WingNutters like Bush and his NeoRepublican gang have no more grasp on reality, no more understanding of how the terrorists are thinking and what they might do, than you do about Left/Liberal/Progressive Americans. Cluelessness doesn't win wars. Ignorance of the enemy loses wars. Sticking your head in the sand and clinging to insane demagoguery not only loses wars, it loses America and all it stands for. Wingers are a greater threat to America than al Qaeda because they're in a position to do far more damage from the inside, as long as they're in power and making stupid decisions based on stupid misperceptions and a dysfunctional braindead ideology.

Three months to the next election, and not so surprisingly, all of a sudden there are terrorists plots everywhere you look. We get a one-week wonder out of London, then quietly it's reported that the British are letting suspects go for lack of evidence. Twice now, people are caught with large quantities of cell phones and we're told they're terrorists, only to learn later, and more quietly, that no, oops, they were guilty of counterfeiting or smuggling, but no, nobody actually needed 1,000 cell phones to blow up a bridge in Michigan. It's pathetic, but no better than we've come to expect from the WingNuts in Washington.

I'll tell ya, if Americans elect a Republican Congress one more time, we'll have demonstrated that we're just too stupid and gullible to deserve to win--evolution in action.
