Give it time
If the SS mods succeed in keeping debate on that board narrowly focused on science, I think any legitimate scientific papers will be able to get a fair hearing. But first they have to reduce the noise level so that any genuine signals can be heard.
It may be hardest on people like you and me, who make broad "synoptic" arguments that weave everything together into (what we hope is) a compelling narrative. Space/Science is probably evolving toward requiring arguments in the specialized form of scientific debate, in which our natural rhetorical instincts are a handicap.
