Global warming moves billions of dollars around from industrialized nations to 3rd world nations in the form of "pollution credits". Kyoto and other agreements are merely tools to shift wealth from rich-poor by folks paid off to do so.
They see nothing wrong or immoral in being a commissioned Robin Hood and if they take the "do-gooders" for a spin through hysteria-land where they get to laugh at their parroting and gullibility, that merely rewards and enriches their efforts all the more.
