He's a politician. You want a moderate Republican leading the party? Probably not, makes it easier for Democrats to win doesn't it? McCain doesn't come out and support any specific Falwell supported policy in what I read just refused to cast aspsersians on a leader of one part of his party's base. That's what all political leaders do. Take issue with flip flopping on issues not trying to promote a big tent. Of course I'd like to see a big tent that doesn't include Falwell, but we can't seem to get either party to build a tent around what most people agree on.

I disagree with a lot of people around here, but there's only 3 regulars I consider real assholes and one no longer posts (and that ones not BDG but someone I formerly considered a friend). Despite that I've still stood up for one's right to speak. The other prime asshole seems to have a personal grudge based on me standing up for someone else's right to speak.
