I follow the news to form my opinions. I don't have time to read everything so I might have missed something and am willing to listen to someone who has a basis for a different opinion. It appears you don't have any and call me lazy because you're too lazy to give any real reason other than McCain now refuses to insult Falwell which is really very lame. I'm not wasting my time playing your game of hide and seek. Tell me the issue and I'll do my own search, but don't ask me to wonder aimlessly in your forest of nit picks without a map.
You have a real comprehension problem with the concept of any movement towards the center is good don't you? I'm entirely comfortable with Lieberman being mostly liberal and McCain being mostly conservative as long as they are willing to compromise across the isle and question party group think. I've seen plenty to indicate this is the case and you have presented nothing to refute it or even acknowledged the basis of my support for them. Instead you set up a strawman that they aren't perfect moderates or aren't 100% unwilling to compromise. Compromise is what we need and what liberals are supposed to be angry about Bush not being willing to do.
Politicians have to compromise to get elected and then again to get things done while in office. The issue with Kerry wasn't that he changed his mind it was that he was constatntly changing his position making it clear he was constantly pandering to whatever audience he was speaking with few qualms about it. Your whole argument fails the bullshit stink test when you can't even provide an honest alternative as a "principled moderate" with a chance at leading either party. Is Leiberman or McCain a perfect candidate IMO? NO! Are they better than what we've had lately? YES!

Mark Eby
