I would also like AGW to be a fantasy. I'd like coal fired power plants to expell frosted flakes instead of mercury, or at least for Duke and TXU to install some GODDAMED precipitators and scrubbers.

Alas, scientific inquiry (the most imperfect method of understanding reality cept'n for all the others) indicates it's probably otherwise. And we're not going to know just what the next climactic plateau will look like till we get there.
