The song of life is replete with pain
This and hate are a recurring refrain
Freedom, true freedom, is elusive for all
Any man's measure is never enough
The world is made better by struggle.
Progress is the song of the battle
If struggle commences without hate
Such struggle is already a victory
A victory of the spirit of mankind
And when such a struggle arises
All the daemons and furies shall gather
And try to ensnare the combatants
And have them do their foul bidding
Such a challenge man must face
To build a better world
To reach for freedom
And this is yet another refrain
And in its wake shall be a brighter day
When the battles all cease, I will lament
For this day marks the end of the world
