Absolutely not.
If I want anything from Tom it would be some hint in his replies to me that he read the post he is replying to. I'd like to see a discussion with Tom about my beliefs stay as a discussion of my beliefs, once in a while.
I guess there's some exaggeration there, as I can recall a few cases where he seemed to listen and respond. But when someone you respect shows, through his deeds, that he doesn't give a shit what you say, it is irritating and hard (for me, anyway) to forget. If it was someone I did not respect, there would be no issue at all (I could name some cases but I won't).
