A major loss
My first real knowledge of the dangers of George W. Bush came from reading one of her incredible books long before he really showed his hand. Her warnings proved absolutely prophetic.
And yet, her writing had this wonderful and often humorous wit to it. I always made it a point after that to look for her infrequent editorials in our daily newspaper. I'm amazed that the very conservative owners of the Arizona Republic allowed her input but I gained respect for their inclusion of such a fine writer and human being.
