The brainwashing was evident in the interviews, and so was the way the israeli actions HELPED the fanatics recruit-I am not blaming the israelis, obviously SOME action has to be taken in response to having your people blown up....
sadly, it just seemed to underscore how the militants were in a 'win-win' situation...
If you stomp on the population to stop it, you just create more desperate people wanting to be martyrs- if you let it go unanswered then you again encourage it... I kept thinking while watching it... "Surely there are reasonable palestinians that could be asked to 'deprogram' these kids...
But how long would those reasonable people live when labled as collaborators? THAT is what makes it all seem so hopeless.
Tom Clancy once wrote of a scenario where the palestinians adopted the methods of Ghandi - THAT would probably work, but it requires patience....
