I wish you hadn't put that back in play.

Especially as it was deleted at another poster's request.

But since you said it, and it wasn't attributed, I'm going to let it stand unless Robert has a different opinion.

C'mon Mary Anne.
You know enough about electronics to make an assertion like that?

No. But I do know enough about advertizing to make a judgment like that.

It says on his website FOR INVESTIGATIONAL USES ONLY.

It says on his website For Investigational Uses Only. That's a little different. The claims he makes are in much larger, more prominently placed text, with very assertive expressions. Not "might be", but "is". The information prompting one to purchase his product is even larger.

And it IS being tested in clinical trials by many US universities and the Army. So go ahead and agree with ER if you like.

The only university cited on the website is Holos University, which conducted two studies. The mission statement of Holos University follows.

Holos University Graduate Seminary prepares students to assimilate the highest principles of integrative and energetic healthcare and spiritual healing in their personal and professional lives. It encourages and assists students to explore the integration of body, mind, and spirit through education, research, and service. The University prepares graduates to serve in such roles as Spiritual Directors, Spiritual Intuitive Counselors, and Ordained Ministers.

MEDICAL INTUITION
SPIRITUAL DIRECTION
INTEGRATIVE HEALTHCARE
TRANSPERSONAL PSYCHOLOGY

This doesn't sound like a medical or engineering school to me. If I want an analysis of a Spanish document, I would go to an institution with a reputation for Spanish scholarship. If I wanted an opinion on a medical device, I wouldn't go to an institution with a program in "medical intuition".

Would you please point me at the other universities' and at the US Army's clinical trials? I would like to see their objectives and parameters.

The disclaimer is on all websites for any alternative therapy, vitamin or mineral. It's the law. I'd say you got that one right.

It's the law to protect the public from charletans, delusionals, and sloppy researchers from bad practice. It's intended to be a red flag: "This is untested and not approved by professional organizations."

What is WITH everyone lately?
I start out with a minor mention of trying something a little different, and everyone loses their cool and accusations come fast and furious.

You bring up a thing, you can expect it to be discussed vigorously. When people disagree with something you bring up, you take it personally, even when your personality is not brought into it. (RL's responses are, of course, personal, but he's that way to everyone.) I'm told that's a female reaction. This is a boys' club here. If we play with the boys, we ought not to be insulted or shocked to be treated as equals. That includes the aggressive argument style.

Would I get this re-action by telling everyone I changed my hair color?

Hair color manufacturers don't claim to improve health.

I repeat myself here, you haven't experienced it.
You've only seen the website.

That's true. I have also seen other advertizing of a similar sort whose job it was to sell a product based on inflated or false claims.
