TOM: You made a statement that implied that extremists in the United States are Christian.
What Art actually said:
I thought I made it clear that I'm talking about Christian extremists. I have many Christian friends and often they have conservative leanings. They don't act like assholes and are very tolerant of my views.
Extremism of any kind brings the type of behavior I described. It's just that in the United States it's much more likely to come from Christians than from any other ideology because of their overwhelming majority.
Me: Read Art's line again please, tom.
TOM:In my second reply I used a reference you didn't get, and you up and accused me of trying to trick you into making some threat against a Federal official, of all things.
No problem--I don't expect everyone to read everything I read. So I wasted yet another post to explain the origin of the statement. Why not? I spend half my time here with my bloody laser pointer and the chart on the wall done in primary colors, walking people through simple analytical processes.
Me: Then dont assume everyone has heard everything you have. And please drop the superiority complex when you get someone in a "gotcha"
TOM: So now you go off in some bizarre direction about "reframing," a word that, on this board, appears to be defined as "pointing out something you actually said."
Me: No, you weren't pointing out something art said, you were trying to point out there are leftie extremists too.
Well done! Still redirecting though and had diddly to do with what art said.

- Bit my lip
- Life is far too short to have to deal with such people
- What kind of people send their kids to religious schools anyway?

- To be fair...
- I don't think that's unusual.
