Fundamentalist

I think everyone fully understands the connotation Tom. When I use the term, it's to signify that 5 - 10% of a religious sect that takes their text and the tenets they derive from it as absolutes. You're either with them or against them. There is no gray area. With Christianity, if you don't follow their guidelines to the letter of their interpretation, you're a horrible sinner and deserve your painful condemnation to Hell. With Islam, if your women don't wear burkas and you don't pray X amount of times facing Mecca, you're an infidel and need your head chopped off. With either group, adding political power become murderous.

Just because you have this leaning towards the black and white world yourself doesn't excuse these assholes from extreme derision when they pop their little heads out of the sand and lash out at the sinners around them.

But no, with you, because they tend to follow the conservative slant, there's this redeemable side to them and they have to be defended. Of course there's no defense of them directly because they're abysmal individuals so you jump to finding faults in others to minimize their evil. Well it's bullshit Tom and we all know it.

Had a radical environmentalist jumped in my face because my car only averages 25 mpg and stated publicly that non-hybrid owners were evil I'd be railing against that asshole so don't you dare lump me into some bunch of one-sided thinkers like yourself. It'll be a cold day in hell before I allow myself to be lectured by a pinhead like yourself.
