Christianity
REB — (archived)

Talk about black and white. Listen to yourself, Art. You are being black and white. You admit it by saying there is no grey area;

“There is no gray area. With Christianity, if you don't follow their guidelines to the letter of their interpretation, you're a horrible sinner and deserve your painful condemnation to Hell.”

Wrong. Christ taught that we are all sinners, but by accepting him you will rise to Heaven. And he is saddened by those he looses who do not choose him. He doesn’t wish painful condemnation to Hell for anyone. He wants to save all from that.

It has nothing to do with following the guidelines to the letter. That was the Old Testament. That wasn’t working. No human could go their whole life without ever sinning. That is why part of God came down as Christ- to bridge the gap between humans and him and give us a new way to his realm. All you have to do is accept Christ. That is it.
