The Democrats could have done tremendous damage if they had been in charge, and still could. I know what would have happened in the Cold War if Carter, Mondale and Dukakis had been running the show on our end.
If Kerry were president now, the Middle East would be burning end to end while our troops sit here at home. I won't even mention the economic impact.
Unlike people with simpler thought processes, I don't see the U.S. and its allies leaving the battlefield as "ending the war." The war would go on without us, in a much more bloody manner, and eventually we, or someone else, would have to finish it later.
The Democratic Party is melting down as I write this, and you think they would cover themselves in glory if they had been running things?
