To say that these outcomes are the best possible is sick.

Your repeated statements that the situation could not have been handled differently or better is to say that this outcome was inevitable under the BEST of circumstances.

I'm sure you believe it. You have stated all along that nukes, WMDS, democracy and stability are the reasons for the war, only to see those proven hollow and phony. Didn't bother you. I believe you are honest, just blinded by pure, raw ideology to the point that any reality not agreeing with your fantasys is dismissed as "politics", and therefore untrue.

You have said all along that the war was going according to plan, and won't we liberals look funny when there is a happy and prosperous Iraq.

If this is the plan, why isn't Iraq peaceful, happy and prosperous? After all, it's been much longer than WWII now.

The Middle East with Saddam as President of Iraq was much happier, stable and would have been prosperous without the Bush embargos.

So, in short, Saddam was doing a better job than Bush by any objective measurement. Find one where Bush is doing better. Water, power, hospitals, deaths, even with Bush waging an air and ground war using the no-fly zones as excuses.

Mixed Sunni and Shiite neighborhoods, folks living in peace. Saddam was a brutal bastard dealing with revolt. Bush is a more brutal bastard dealing with revolt.

At least under Saddam the revolt was put down. Under Bush it's still going on, his mismanagement and abuse of power resulting in a very capable military with extremely motivated and well trained people getting the shit kicked out of them.

Think about it. How much worse could he have done? And to you, it's all according to plan.
