We canâ€™t assume aliens will have the same life spans as we do. Or the same life requirements.

There might be aliens who life span is thousands of our years. For them, travel between the stars becomes more feasible.

Something similar may happen to humans one day. If we can figure out how to stop aging, or how to put humans in suspended animation, then the speed of traveling between the stars becomes less critical.
