The U.S. supplies the wealth, material, and probably blood, while the other nations get to tell us what to do with it. This has been a wet dream of the Left for a very long time. The U.S. is still the World Policeman. Only thing that changes is that the "police chief" is some thug sitting in the U.N. building.
We are asked to "cooperate" with the U.N., or nations like France. But when you sit down and list who gets what from the "cooperation," somehow the U.S. seems to end up being the one putting everything on the table. What then is supplied by those we are "cooperating" with? Why, their approval, of course. And approval from the Great Enlightened should be no small thing, right?
This concept seems to be a recurring theme in leftist philosophy. Shows up in economics as well as foreign policy. The whole gang gets to decide what pizza to order, but the big dummy over there with the wallet will pay all the freight.
