One thing Iraq has shown me is that there is no way America can go into the troubled area’s of Africa and restore peace. Compared to what would happen if we tried, Iraq would seem like a bloody nose. America does not have the stomach or attention span to do what it would take to free Africa.
If it is going to happen, it is going to take an international effort. It is also going to have to have the media behind it.
But the current UN could not do it either. The UN needs to change. The UN needs more muscle and it more countries need to contribute instead of expecting America to foot the bill.
I think it can happen, but a big hurdle is that every country is looking out for itself, and that will be reflected in the way they do business through the UN.
The Free World must come together for the good of humanity so we can squash the tyrants and bring human rights to those who live in fear and oppression. The UN must get its head out of the sand, get some courage and some muscle to back it up. And other countries need to pull their own weight.
