We've been through this over and over REB. Your fundamental flaw from my viewpoint is that you have this inherent need for a beginning point. Your mind is locked in the finite. Everything you experience within your lifetime is rooted around that finite realm.
When we look beyond our own life though there is simply no need to put those same constraints on it. If we assume a beginning we look for signs of that such as evidence of a Big Bang or we search ancient texts and read into them facts which simply can't be corroborated with physical evidence.
What we see beyond us, despite the infinite number of years that have transpired and created alluring variations of it, is simply a void of space interspersed with matter and energy. When you look at just those things alone it isn't a difficult concept to just assume they've always been there, that no creative force was required to bring them into existence. To believe otherwise only adds more questions such as where the creator came from, who created the creator's creator and so on.
That progression of logic defines infinity. There cannot be an end to the string of questions. If we can assume an infinite chain in that aspect why then can't we assume matter and energy to be infinite as well? Why do they require a starting point, because some book that we know to be compiled from ancient campfire stories begins with "In the beginning...."?
The question you ask then springs from an assumption you simply cannot logically make. Who cares why if the question exists "Was the universe created?". Until you can definitively answer my question, yours is moot.
