Actually, Clinton did attack Iraq because of WMD. Desert Fox ring a bell?

A very gutsy move on Clinton's part. Unfortunately, most of use were too rapped up, and distracted, by MonicaGate to notice. Had the Republicans left Clinton alone, perhaps he could have done more in Iraq, but we went after him about Monica and that consumed him. I guess we’ll never know.

As far as Saddam goes, he did have WMD, he had used them to kill tens of thousands, if not over a hundred thousand. And our men have found evidence of WMD programs, parts and even some old chemical WMD Saddam said he had destroyed.

I fault George H. Bush for not going after Saddam when he had the chance. He had plenty of justification. Saddam had just invaded Kuwait, and he had active WMD. Perhaps there would be peace and democracy in Iraq now had Bush ousted Saddam 17 years ago.
