TB is intelligent and articulate, but so emotionally involved in his deisire to stamp out the politically incorrect, in whatever form it dares to appear in, that he invariably overreacts and does his cause more harm than good by his zeal and ferocity. I confess, I've been known to throw out the occasional sucker punch myself, but it used to really upset me, when I got ambushed on some post of mine where even I had failed to see any political implication. But the partisan in me now rejoices at his attacks, because it is clear that the uncommitted and the innocent remember his rage more than his reason.
The irony of all this is that I am now more critical of statements about global warming than I was before, precisely because of his reason. However, because of his rage, I am now more convinced than ever that opponents of anthropogenic global warming are primarily motivated by emotion, self-interest and ideology.
