Perhaps "contempt" is more appropriate. Or even better, that unnamed variation of disgust one feels when we turn on the light and the cockroaches scurry about trying to hide from our stamping boots.

From the first time I've posted here I've felt that I (and everyone else) was a target of those boots if we deviated in the slightest from your monitoring of our orthodoxy. You were always waiting to turn on the light and come stomping in. And if we avoided controversy, there was always the provocative post from you to stir it up again. Tom, I know you can't see it about yourself, but your disdain for those who do not accept your politics is palpable, it is overwhelming. The fact you do not display it when the topic is non-political doesn't mean we can just forget it. After all, the topic always seems to become political. Look at this thread, look at those who simply do not post on controversial topics any more, look at the good people who no longer post here at all, that you have driven away. There are other conservatives here who do not get this response, so it's not your politics. And from what I gather, you haven't always been this way, either.

I'm sorry to be so blunt, I really don't enjoy this, but I know I'm not just making it up, either. This issue is tearing this board apart. The cockroaches have had it.
