"Rage?"

My three responses on that thread:

At this point they're mostly just repeating themselves. I noticed the record maxmimum sea ice in the Southern hemisphere this year has been completely shrugged off.

As for polar bears, if you look at the numbers, the most significant effect on their numbers every year is the hunting quota. If they're that worried, maybe they should tell people to stop shooting them.

It's also very important to remember that there are many good reasons for weaning ourselves off of fossil fuels even if CO2 wasn't an issue.

The sooner we start building more nuclear plants, the better. The transportation systems are going to start moving away from internal combustion, and it would be nice to get a head start on it.

I have no idea if electric transportation off of fossil-fuel plants results in more or less CO2 in the air (it does result in less of other kinds of pollution). There are factors pushing in both directions, but my gut tells me (for whatever that's worth) that there might be.

The accurate satellite measurements of Arctic ice only go back to 1979, too. The time before that ("direct observation") gets a bit fuzzier. Same for "global" measurements.

Still doesn't explain why both hemispheres are going in opposite directions.

I'm not seeing a lot of "catastrophe" in the graph you linked to.

If this is "rage," I'm not sure where the bar is. If you look at the posts, sure as hell I'm on the receiving end of a lot more "rage" here than I've ever dished out.
