It's not the facts, or the documentation, or the numbers. Don't congratulate yourself on your unassailable logic and careful research. It's not even your politics. It's the snide disparaging remarks, the sneers, the dismissive brush-offs, the snorts and disdain and glee with which you pounce on your victims. In your own words, the way you "wipe the floor with the liberals". It's not even me, in fact, you and I have not really crossed swords too many times lately because this issue has come up before and I've snapped at you about it in the past,
right from the very start when we had the little set-to about the allegedly spit-upon Vietnam vets. As I recall, your "documentation" back then was pretty partisan, and didn't hold up to scrutiny.

Yeah, we all lose our tempers around here every now and then, I just did during the "rage" post, but your rhetorical style seems to consistently involve the humiliation and ridicule of your opponents. And it's always the liberals. You don't go after the anomalists or the creationists or with right-wing wackos you disagree with with the same smug contempt and vitriol. And look out if anyone brings up a point again you feel you have already dismissed. Not that this means you've actually dismissed it, you just think you have and expect everyone to accept your word for it.

Now the big thing is about the great Antarctic ice cap freeze-up, the Southern Strategy, the Great White Hope you have latched on to knock out global warming. I'l concede it might even be happenening, although even that evidence seems rather tentative at best and inconclusive and irrelevant even if true. But it's not the first time, remember when you were looking at the Martian icecaps hoping for a solar mechanism to explain the global warming that now suddenly everyone seems to be finally admitting is actually happening? I guess the fall back position now is "it's happening but it's not our fault". After that it will be, "it's our fault but we can't do anything about it".

Personally, I don't care about global warming, you might even be right about it, I really don't know, but I do know when I'm being patronized and insulted. And I also realize I've been self-censoring myself to try to avoid unpleasant little scenes like this, but you are always there, nagging and goading, and (as SDAI puts it) "swatting and finger thwacking" everyone who dares pokes his head out above the politically correct acceptable limits. You flit about like a bee with a trigger finger, always on the lookout for any remark which might conceivably be a threat to your world view. And when things are quiet, you throw out a zinger and start a fight, so don't claim self-defense.

Well, there's nothing I can do or say to make you stop, and I'm not going to go away either, I'll do my best to avoid you on political topics, and hopefully enjoy talking to you on others, if I can get you away from the liberal-bashing long enough to get a word in edgewise. And I won't be surprised if you respond baffled and confused, and feeling the victim, because you don't really understand a word of what I'm saying. I don't doubt your sincerity for a moment. I don't think you really understand what you're doing, or you would have stopped a long time ago.
