"Why this should be so is a great mystery."
God?
Why is this place not like tic-tac-toe?
Why do people imagine we "know everything" or are anywhere close this being a reality?
If there is a God, or creature[s] godlike is this place as understandable and as simple as tic-tac-toe? I have my doubts.
And therefore at least practically speaking, materialism is fundamentally wrong- or at least useless.
