Is that the definition of Gen “Y As I read it I saw myself in it and I’m a child of the 30’s. What caught my eye was the reference to Lockheed – I worked there in the early 60’s and several dozen other places in silicon valley and the description is just how it was then, almost 50 years ago.
We were free spirits; we left work when we wanted too, my resume ran to three pages, and we certainly had a sense of entitlement. By then we had also figured out that company loyalty is a one way street to a large company – you may love the company but it can’t return the love so we picked up and left at the first sign of more money or a better job.
Not the dedicated employees the Baby Boomers are??? That was me and my slightly younger friends we *were* the boomers.
The more things change the more they stay the same.
