The Duke was a hard drinker
I understand he was a womanizer and he chose Latin women to marry because of their cultural predilection to being subservient to the male. Unfortunately for him, he didn't realize that Latin women also have hot temperaments! I loved the characters he played but once I realized his RL character, I didn't idolize him so much.
