Those of you who reported a problem report the same thing as Mark's testers: Blank screen except for his name upper-left. I wasn't that specific in my first post so as to not prejudice the witness, so to speak.
I have a theory that I'm working on, involving the timing of downloading some of the bits and pieces. I'm working up a test site to test the theory, which I hope to get posted tomorrow.
Those of you who got in, thanks for both the compliments and the criticisms/suggestions. I was actually looking for the various comments on the lack of cues, e.g. help text and labels, to know how to work the site. I admit that I deliberately skimped on that stuff, in order to find out where people would actually need the help. It's that minimalist aesthetic thing. If I tried to anticipate, I'd have erred on the side of caution and cluttered things up. I'll be incorporating your feedback.
I'll start a new thread tomorrow for the second round of testing with the test site.
Thanks again, everybody!
