I say this in the most respectful manner I can muster, because you're a fine person and a Zoner of high pedigree. In short, people here like you, and so do I.
That being said, I offer what I hope will be interpreted as very well intentioned criticism.
On the subject of investigating the “UFO” phenomena;
Which selection best describes your approach?
A. Chase the truth to the ground, and let the cards fall where they may.
B. Defend, at all cost, a mythology based upon anecdotal evidence.
C. Change the paradigm of acrimonious bickering, and elevate the discussion to reasonable debate by adopting rigorous scientific methodology. (Dr. J. Allen Hynek would be a good model)
D. Shut up and go to hell pb.
If you chose “C”, I will meet you on the bridge every time. We may, or may not agree on any number of specific issues, but we can have a reasonable discussion, and move the debate forward.
