Anolis carolinensis
The Carolina Anole, at one time, the dominant species of lizard in Florida.
They're extremely rare here now, their habitat has been taken over by little brown lizards from the Caribbean, imports like the Cuban and Crested Anoles. Carolinensis has just been squeezed out by the furriners. They're smaller, but more aggressive and more prolific breeders.
We need to build a wall to keep them out.
