That's not exactly true Jody. There ARE "trace cases", hundreds of them and there are books and articles written on them. As for "crash sites', you'll never get ANY information from them because they are cleaned up better than a crime scene and absconded by the military and buried under many layers of compartmentalization.
You just have to know where to look and be serious about your investigations.
