To say class is non-existent must mean you have a very limited circle of aquaintances.
Are you saying the Kennedys and Bushes of the world consider themselves the same class as Fred Decorso in South Philly (or vice versa).
Does the word Brahmins ring any bells?
It's different than Britain was, but proabably closer to Britain now than you'd expect.
