In the first place I doubt humans are stable enough to last a long time in that environment. It doesn't take much to disrupt activities and drain resources. One person in a lock-up of some sort. One ego would eventually take over, and undoubtedly change the mission to some self-aggrandizing end. Even the long-term sailing expeditions lasted only 3 years or so, and they saw other people, lands. There was hope.
Second, I don't think that any machine manufactured by humans to support human life could survive in that environment. Performance would become degraded over time.
Third, the requirements for human existence on the longer term are incredible. Pharmaceuticals, to name just one class.
I know, there are magical mystery solutions to those problems. Given the nature of man and the needs of his means of communication, his body, I don't think they will work.
And then what's the expectation? That humans would make it back with a report? With what? To whom, how would Earth and people changed in that time?
One of those things that's fun to fantasize about, though.
