Let's not drift off into the ether, here.
Extracurricular activities aren't exactly big income producers for most high schools, and are we supposed to believe no gay people are cheerleaders or prom goers?
Come to that, back in my school our coach would probably have put Boy George on the football team if he could deliver touchdowns.
