The male bimbo
"Bimbo" is an English word, not a Spanish one, so it need not be expected to conform to the rules of Spanish gender syntax. The closest thing phonetically in Spanish to "bimbo" is "la bomba" (n., fem), which translates as either of the English nouns "bomb" or "pump". Any similarities to descriptions of the lady in question is completely coincidental.
PS: You may all be familiar with the popular Mexican song, "La Bamba". I have no idea what that means. Perhaps one of our other Spanish speakers, more familiar with the Mexican dialect, can enlighten us.
