You guys are a hoot.

NOW you're passing yourself off as the radical middle. The center, the non-partisan, non-ideologues the...dare I say it?...MAVERICKS. What magnificent horseshit! No rants about rampant red collectivism, no touching scenes from the Fountainhead or Atlas Smugged? No snarky references to any post or news report than can be repackaged as agitprop? No glowing tributes to the glorious entrepreneurial class? Are you expecting such a crash that you're trying to place yourself in neutral territory and survive the post-election mop-up and backlash? Don't worry, boys. We're saving the re-education camps for the next election.

Actually, if you guys ever actually read my posts, you would have seen I've never been particularly an Obama fan, I originally supported Hillary until I saw her become too greedy for power for my taste. Sort of the way McCain is acting now. What I liked most about Obama was that I was delighted with finally having a candidate that neither needs to pretend he's intelligent or feels the need to disguise the fact he is. Other than that, the best political thing he had going for him that I could tell was that he wasn't a conservative, and the best thing McCain had going for him was that he was the least conservative of the Republicans. Well McCain has given up that so that leaves Obama as the default candidate, as far as I'm concerned. Unlike McCain, his betrayal, if it comes, will probably occur after the election.

No I have little faith in either party; most politicians, as I've mentioned before, all start out as either businessmen or lawyers, both being subspecies of humanity I have little use for. Both acquire political power by pandering to the business community, and both keep power by hoping to keep business happy so that the working workforce will have jobs. Of course, nowadays, that doesn't seem to be an issue any more, is it?

If I have to make a choice, I go with the Democrats because I am a liberal, and the Dems are closer to liberal politics than the Reps. But for the most part, they aren't liberal enough for my taste.
