It is a shame - and wrong - how you took my statement

So a species that has been searching sporadically (do not act like
SETI has been some major monolithic organization searching for
signals non-stop for decades - cause it hasn't) for 50 years in
a galaxy 10 billion years old doesn't find any signs of life and
wanting to look a bit longer is to you a mere excuse?

To you and all those who put down SETI and its variants, I ask -
what other plan do you have to find alien life? Got any starships
handy? How long is long enough to search 400 billion star systems
across 100,000 light years?

Humanity is a really arrogant little species.
