We should be checking out those objects that only appear in the
infrared region of the spectrum.
Perfect? Of course not, but it is looking somewhere other than assuming
all ETI are versions of us circling yellow dwarf stars and updating our
technological extrapolation knowledge.
Plus if they are all living underground hooked up to their VR machines,
or swimming in some alien sea without a care in the world or an iPod
in sight, it won't matter then, will it?
